I'm Bored
A Poem
boredom.
i'm bored.
i ignored how bored
my boredom makes me.
it kills thrills
and squishes wishes
of un-scored roars
screeching
and breeching
costly
sanity.
what's sanity?
untold vanity?
taking selfies to pass the time.
i'm out of my mind, working
past my primetime,
and casting shadows upon my bellows
of 'I CANNOT WORK LIKE THIS'
and 'DO I EVEN HAVE A LEG
TO STAND ON OR DO I HAVE TO BEG?'
sometimes work is the hardest
kind of play, and play is harder
to find than work.
This poem is from my self-published poetry Beauty
Disease, and can be found in our shop and Apple Books.
